University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 90% Staff Nurseto work at the Hemodialysis Washington IA Clinic.
Completing and documenting physical assessments before and after treatment and monitoring patients during treatment.
Providing hemodialysis to patients with kidney disease.
Responsible for direct patient care in the Washington Unit.
Provide appropriate treatment for assigned patients as developed by the interdisciplinary team.
Deliver safe and effective care to adult renal patients using critical thinking and collaboration.
Accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.

Percent of Time: 90%
Schedule: Mon Wed & Fri. 12 hour shifts varying starting times (0). No call. Holiday Coverage as needed.
Salary: $61183 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate. Salary will be based on years of experience and percent effort

Education:
An Associates Degree in Nursing a Diploma in Nursing a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP) MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN MA) is required
Required Qualifications:
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
General computer skills are required.
Desired Qualifications:
If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable.
Previous RN Dialysis and IV cannulation experience is desired.
Knowledge of university policies and procedures is desired.
