Overview
Field Service Technician Needed
Full Time-$80-100K First Year
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role you will be responsible for troubleshooting advanced CNC Lathes and Machining Centers providing customer training on operations and performing both warranty and post-warranty service. You will work independently from your home base supporting customers throughout your assigned region which will involve regular overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot CNC machines and accessories
- Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical software and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Conduct post-installation testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Train customers on machine operation maintenance and safety procedures.
- Stay current with new product features and technologies.
- Accurately document all service work including diagnostics parts used and resolutions.
- Travel frequently including overnight stays to various customer locations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as gauges test indicators and force meters.
Qualifications:
- A two-year technical degree (mechanical electrical or machine tool technology) or equivalent military experience.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment.
- Understanding of PLC controls (preferred).
- Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic circuits and general computer literacy.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
