Job Description

The Client and Member Support Coordinator is the primary point of contact for anyone connecting with KSACC. They work at the front desk in our Kamloops office. The person in this position will work 8:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m on Thursday and Friday for a total of 16 hours per week.


Duties and Responsibilities


Client Support:

  • Greets clients and visitors and lets appropriate staff know that they have arrived
  • Manages most scheduling of client appointments
  • Creates client files and ensures relevant documents/information are uploaded
  • Provides information and completes new client intakes over the phone
  • Refers clients or callers to other service providers as needed
  • Offers client crisis intervention as needed on the phone and in-person


Member Support:

  • Maintains Society membership list
  • Supports new member registration throughout the year and membership renewal annually
  • Maintains up-to-date membership contact list
  • Keeps in regular contact with membership through updates and newsletters


Operations Support:

  • Opens and closes office daily
  • Attends staff meetings and takes meeting notes
  • Maintains and reports relevant monthly statistics
  • Participates in internal committees
  • Contributes to ongoing assessment and adjusting of internal processes
  • Provides back-up coverage of the Crisis Line as needed
  • Supports Board of Directors as needed
  • Other duties as required


Education/Experience/Skills Required


Education

  • Certificate or diploma in office administration or human services and/or equivalent or equivalent work/life experience. KSACC values the learning of lived experience comparable to formal education.


Experience/Knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of intersectional feminist practices and ideologies
  • Knowledge and experience with client support services
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience managing multiple tasks at once remaining organized and staying calm under pressure
  • A comprehensive understanding of confidentiality
  • Familiarity and commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls Calls for Justice
  • Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check for the purpose of working with vulnerable populations

Salary and Benefits
