SEEKING RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE PLANNERS STRATEGICPLANNERS OR URBAN PLANNERS WITH AN INTEREST IN OPEN SPACEAND SPORT AND RECREATION PLANNING
Lead the development and implementation of policies strategies and plans for ActiveRecreation and open space services to meet the needs of Mitchells current and futurecommunities.
Foster strong effective partnerships with key stakeholders to support and maximiserecreation and open space participation access and infrastructure delivery focused onenhancing community health and wellbeing.
Play a strategic leadership role in shaping the provision of active recreation services inMitchells growth areas ensuring planning aligns with long-term population growth andevolving community needs.
Permanent Full Time Band 7 Position: $102719 $114794 p.a. plus superannuation andmonthly accrued day off

We are seeking a passionate collaborative inclusive strategic thinker to develop strongrelationships across the community and Council to establish develop and deliver the strategicdirection of recreation and open space programming services and facility provision in themunicipality.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven ability to develop and implement strategicplans policies projects and services. You understand and can manage diverse and competingstakeholder needs and you provide innovative solutions to deliver community focussed research and data analysis following industry trends engaging with andunderstanding your community and reporting your evidence-based research on sport recreationand leisure trends is what you do.
Ideally you will have relevant and diverse experience in a similar role in Local Government or thebroader sector with a transferable skill set to meet the needs of this position.
