Job Summary:
Minco is seeking a detail-oriented proactive and resourceful Buyer to join our Purchasing Team. This role is responsible for sourcing negotiating and purchasing materials supplies and services to support production and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills a keen eye for cost savings and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials components equipment and services in accordance with company policies and specifications
- Evaluate and negotiate pricing delivery terms and supplier agreements to ensure best value
- Create and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate records in the ERP or purchasing system
- Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery quality responsiveness) and resolve issues as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering production quality etc.) to understand material requirements and timelines
- Track and report on key purchasing metrics including cost savings and supplier performance
- Assist in the identification and qualification of new suppliers
- Support inventory control objectives by maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Maintain compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulatory standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree in business Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of purchasing procurement or supply chain experience (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment)
- Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite etc.)
- Strong negotiation communication and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic buying decisions
- Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards is a plus
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- CPM or CPSM certification
- Experience with international suppliers and import/export processes
- Technical understanding of raw materials components or industrial supplies

Compensation: Range of $65000 to $85000 annual gross salary
Location: Fridley Minnesota
