Job Summary:The Assistant Director of College Web Communications oversees overall web communication strategies for a college. Collaborates with other departments on campus to ensure the website accurately represents the University and effectively communicates information to stakeholders. Oversees the design development and maintenance of the Colleges website and web-based applications. Provides guidance trains and/or may supervise staff and student employees.
Additional Department Summary:Directs the content and oversees the creative work in support of all the Barefield College of Arts and Sciences communications via web internet and other digital content. Devises and coordinates the Colleges online communication efforts as a key element of the institution overall marketing and information presentation strategy. Serves as supervisor for a staff of both technical professionals and content strategy professionals.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree and six (6) years of web development or strategy experience; OR masters degree and four (4) years of web development and strategy experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. drivers license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge:Ability to articulate a long-term vision operate on a strategic level and be aware of the requirements and motivations of faculty students customers and vendors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Collaboration and team building skills. Ability to effectively work with faculty and staff at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated management customer service problem solving interpersonal planning/organizational skills.
