Canola Agronomist and Buyer

You understand the agriculture industry and represent the company by building and maintaining strong relationships. Bridging the gap to connect farmers and customers helps keep us front and center on the global agriculture stage. As a Canola Agronomist and Buyer you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the oilseed production program maintain a strong supply of seed for the canola oil processing business segment and promote canola production.

What youll do

  • Work with merchandisers to enhance seed procurement meal sales and production planning
  • Negotiate and coordinate grain contracts for a defined client base
  • Provide grain marketing strategy education to farmers
  • Coordinate oilseed production programs to boost canola supply
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers and the oilseed industry
  • Partner with farmers on oilseed production challenges and share best practices
  • Host engaging canola education sessions for farmers
  • Guide farmers best seeding and harvesting practices
  • Coordinate with seed technology firms and researchers to trial and promote new varieties

What you bring to our team

  • Degree in Agriculture or related field with 4 years of experience
  • Understanding of crop production and farm equipment
  • Strong communicatorwith a talent for building relationships with farmers and industry partners
  • Detail-oriented multitaskerwho thrives in a fast-paced environment
