The Maintenance Technician will help ensure that all components and machinery are operating properly to maximize machine available and performance. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Repair modify and install equipment to maintain and operate the facility
  • Work in confined spaces on elevated platforms ladders scaffolding and roofs.
  • Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment and proof test equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro-actively prevent them.
  • Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Recognize problems identify root cause develop options to address within time constraints implement appropriate solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of power and hydraulic systems through standard instrumentation.
  • Repair and fabrication of conveyors & equipment
  • Repair install and adjust industrial machinery
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
  • Install test and maintain processes controlled by motor control systems.
  • Work from detailed technical documents blueprints and schematics.
  • Install test and maintain control devices presence-sensing devices etc.
  • Accurately maintain records and reports as required.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner following CSC and OSHA regulations

Other Duties: Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform electrical work (infrequent)
  • Operation of machines (infrequent)

Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting repairing and replacing AC/DC drives and motors.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power hand tools.
  • Proficiency in comprehending and interpreting technical documents/manuals and CAD drawings of plant equipment.
  • Capability to perform tasks in confined spaces work at elevated heights engage in lifting and undertake manual labor.
  • Advanced knowledge of pneumatic systems hydraulics paint systems punch press and die setting.
  • Proficient in diagnosing system faults and troubleshooting malfunctioning components in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Competence in comprehending and interpreting both electrical and mechanical drawings blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to climb overhead structures; work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Accept extended and or weekend schedules as necessary. Flexible start and end times.
  • Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.
  • Previous experience in electrical trouble shooting and machinery repair.
  • Skilled in welding techniques including stick MIG TIG and brazing.
  • Competence in cutting techniques such as torch and plasma cutting.
  • Some proficiency in fabrication and design.

Required Education Skill and Experience:

  • High School Diploma GED or Work Experience
  • Minimum of 3 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education/trade school certification. - Strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50 - $40.00 per hour
