Job Description Summary:

The Configuration Analyst assists senior level configuration analysts in managing and controlling configuration items (CIs) ensuring the integrity and traceability of product configurations throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development documentation and maintenance of CM processes and procedures in alignment with industry standards and company requirements.

  • Participate in both configuration control board (CCB) and Design Review Board (DRB) meetings and provide configuration management input as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering quality and program management to ensure CM processes support and align with program requirements.

  • Assist in generation and distribution of CM reports and metrics providing visibility into the configuration status of changes objects.

  • Support Senior CM team member with the preparation and execution of configuration audits and reviews.

  • Assist in the resolution of configuration related issues and discrepancies.

  • Assist with the release process to ensure accuracy and completeness of change objects.

  • Assist with preparation of monthly deliveries of revised work products.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommended solutions.

Skills/Abilities

  • Basic understanding of CM principles practices and standards

  • Familiarity with military/commercial CM and documentation-related specifications and standards (such as ANSI/EIA-649 ASME/Y14 MIL-STD-31000 MIL-STD-961 etc.)

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Powerpoint)

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as PLM databases.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly

Education

  • Requires a minimum of a associate degree in engineering or related field a bachelors degree is preferred.

  • Equivalent work experience in Configuration Management or a related field may be considered.

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in Configuration Management or related discipline is required.
