Job Title: Senior Manager Accounts Receivable & Treasury
Position Summary
Lead and manage Accounts Receivable and Treasury operations across Galdermas U.S. prescription consumer and aesthetics business units including the full integration and ongoing unification of the Alastin operations
This role will ensure consistent application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) maintain a strong internal control environment and drive standardization of end-to-end processes across US Accounting operations (Galderma- Alastin). The position plays a key leadership role in aligning systems reporting and cash flow forecasting and serves as a critical partner in change management and business transformation.The Sr. Accounting Manager Accounts Receivable & Treasury will manage a team of 2-3 direct reports.
Essential Functions
- Lead the day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable and Treasury across Galderma and Alastin managing local and Global Business Services (GBS) teams. Oversee the full invoice-to-cash cycle subledger accuracy and treasury operations ensuring effective internal controls and alignment with IFRS and corporate policy.
- Partner with GBS to drive an efficient collection process including timely and accurate application of customer discounts chargebacks and deductions. Lead the resolution of collection issues and customer disputes across all business units.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Service team to ensure alignment on order-to-cash processes and
- Lead the resolution of collection issues and customer disputes to minimize aged receivables and maintain healthy cash flow.
- Act as a change leader to drive standardization system alignment and consistent financial reporting across the unified organization.
- Ensure the integrity of the Accounts Receivable subledger the Marketing Development Fund subledger and cash flow forecasting. Lead all period-end close activities related to AR ensuring timely journal entries reconciliations and financial reporting in compliance with IFRS.
- Collaborates closely with Corporate Treasury to support global cash management and forecasting initiatives
- Own responsibility for the U.S. cash flow forecast submitted to Global Treasury including forecast modeling based on actuals customer balances and sales projections. Ensure achievement of inbound cash targets within acceptable thresholds.
- Manage the accounts receivable factoring program customer credit policies chargebacks and collections. Promote best practices in customer engagement and portal utilization to drive timely and accurate cash application.
- Oversee U.S. banking relationships and continuously improve treasury practices including ACH wire transfers deposits and remittance processing. Implement modern treasury solutions to optimize inbound and outbound payment flows.
- Provide insightful reporting and performance updates to senior management on AR balances collections and cash flow projections. Represent the AR and Treasury function in monthly financial reviews and pre-close activities.
- Ensure a strong internal control environment identifying and mitigating risks related to financial reporting system integration and operational execution. Own readiness for internal and external audits.
- Lead coach and develop the unified AR and Treasury team. Responsibilities include staffing performance management development planning recognition and fostering a high-performance
Minimum Education Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Must be a degreed accountant (CPA and/or Master of Science in Accounting preferred)
- 10 years of overall general accounting experience ideally with Big 4 pharmaceutical (sales & marketing organization) or large manufacturing environment
- Accounting supervisory experience required
- Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and knowledge of business and industry issues.
- Must demonstrate deep understanding and application of GAAP and IFRS accounting.
- Experience demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and a track record of success working in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work and influence within a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to lead change initiatives and process improvements.
- Ability to propose creative solutions to complex financial situations.
- Ability to work on own initiative under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
