Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Hourly Rate: 13.6815.00
Location: Whitby

We are working with a well-regarded inclusive school in the Whitby area that is committed to helping every learner thrive. The school promotes a calm and purposeful learning environment where pupils with additional needs are supported to develop confidence independence and positive relationships.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about special educational needs and who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.

The successful candidate will bring patience adaptability and a caring approach. Experience with SEND is desirable but not essential as the school offers training and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
Assisting in the delivery of targeted interventions and classroom support
Working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning to individual needs
Promoting independence inclusion and emotional wellbeing
Building strong relationships with pupils staff and families

A collaborative staff team and professional development opportunities are available within the school.
