Job Description
Now hiring for our new school year 2025/2026. We would like to invite you to attend our NATIONAL HIRING DAY with on spot interviews with the hiring manager. Location is Suffolk Workforce Development 157 North Main street Suffolk VA JULY 10TH form 10am-2pm
Group Leader: Before and Afterschool Teacher - Part-time Group Leader Portsmouth VA Elementary Schools. 3 months experience in a childcare setting.

Location: Portsmouth Elementary Schools -
Schedule: No weekends! Part time Monday-Friday. AM Care 6am-8am PM Care 3pm-6pm.

As an AlphaBEST Guide youll be trained to do the following:
- Lead a group of student explorers through exciting adventures in fitness the arts technology and more!
- Work collaboratively with peers to ignite childrens sense of wonder.
- Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students interests and talents.
- Provide a caring family-oriented environment where positive staff child and parent relationships are fostered.
Heres what youll need:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 3 months experience instructing children in a group setting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
