Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience
Seeking a motivated Field Installer I to support the installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) at commercial job sites. This is an entry-level position with hands-on responsibilities in the field ideal for individuals with some electrical or low-voltage experience and a strong work ethic. Candidates should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with attention to safety detail and quality.
Install conduit cabling sensors panels and related devices that make up Building Automation Systems.
Collaborate with lead installers and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Follow safety procedures and installation guidelines.
Read and interpret construction drawings and wiring diagrams to execute proper installations.
Assist in commissioning and startup phases by supporting testing and troubleshooting.
Provide accurate as-built documentation including layout changes and sensor locations.
Maintain tools and equipment and ensure the work area remains clean and safe.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Level I: Performs basic tasks with some supervision.
Level II: Independently completes assignments and provides mentorship to junior installers.
Senior Level: Highly experienced with advanced understanding of BAS and mechanical/electrical systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in BAS installation or commercial electrical work.
Basic knowledge of computer operation and construction practices.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Valid drivers license and ability to pass a background check.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs. climb ladders kneel stoop crawl and walk construction sites for extended periods.
2 years of BAS or commercial electrical installation experience.
Proficiency with electrical tools such as volt meters and amp meters.
Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical and control schematics.
Knowledge of both low-voltage and high-voltage systems including transformers and multi-phase power.
