Job Description
Amazon is seeking an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) professional to join the Global Standards & Procedures (S&P) team to play a critical role in creating implementing and reviewing WHS programs ( procedures and processes) that will serve as the foundation of all Amazon operations in North America. A strong background in health and safety management is required specifically in regulations governing high-risk operations. Experience in varying Amazon operations and business unit processes is needed. Canadian experience is a plus.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work across teams to gain alignment develop and execute a common plan across multiple stakeholders. This requires working effectively with all business owners to ensure the delivery and execution of WHS programs. Cross-team coordination project management and excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing are essential. To work effectively in the role the candidate would be required to develop a deep understanding of the organizations commitment to serving our workforce and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the organization in order to solve complex business problems and implement fit-for-purpose programs to deliver the highest standards. The successful candidate is also one that has a record of accomplishment delivering success in high performing business organizations and one who has program management experience.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes project management and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
