Job Description
Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Tax Preparer
Location: San Rafael CA
Work Schedule: Full-Time In-Office
We are a well-established CPA firm in Central Marin seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting multiple external clients with a variety of bookkeeping and tax services. Were looking for someone who is reliable detail-oriented confident and ready to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable bank deposits and account reconciliations
- Monthly and year-end closing including journal entries
- Prepare and maintain vendor files and disbursement records
- Prepare financial statements for client review
- Tax preparation for individuals corporations and partnerships
- Work with CPA firm management on ad-hoc tasks and special projects
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required
- Prior experience with QuickBooks and tax preparation software
- Proven ability to manage bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Word skills
- Experience with Lacerte tax software is preferred
- Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
