Summary
We are seeking a process-oriented manager to support the Companys accounting function in a fast paced rapidly changing environment. A self-starter focused on continuous improvement this individual will focus on accounting for the Companys various revenue streams inventory and all items impacting margin and provide assistance with other ad hoc projects. This individual will interact with many groups within the company in a highly visible role.
Responsible for the revenue close process for 8 brands and international operations. Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounting of all royalty marketing fund technology fee equipment merchandise training video on demand and rebate revenue.
- Responsible for the accounting of all inventory cost of goods sold and other items related to revenue and margin
- Manage the revenue and margin close process to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with U.S. GAAP and the Companys revenue recognition policies.
- Prepare and/or review journal entries invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or quarterly close.
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations on a pre-established calendar schedule.
- Provide support to external auditors in connection with the annual audit.
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
- Complete accounting research regarding new and existing accounting rules and related reporting requirements.
- Coach train develop and mentor accounting staff.
- Lead and support ad hoc special projects as required.
Pay Range: $120000-$130000

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting Business Administration or Finance with an Accounting emphasis required
- CPA preferred
- Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred
- 6 years of accounting experience including 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience working in a publicly traded company that is 404(b) compliant is preferred
- Ability to manage independently and partner with others to obtain results
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- An attitude of continuous improvement and constant desire to improve efficiencies
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to manage internal and external client expectations
- Proven success working well under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Must be a self-starter with a problem-solver attitude ability to multi-task
