Job Description
Specialist Strategic Buyer
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Evaluating the demand and source a supplier according to demand
- Generate and implementefficient sourcing and category management strategies
- Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.
- Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis as well as market trends.
- Negotiating contracts with key suppliers including costs and terms of supply service and quality.
- Collaborating with the Stakeholders & identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
- Conducting market research as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
- Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry
- Conducting market research Identifying potential new suppliers as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
- Drive cost optimization
- Implement & practice improved Procurement processes to support the new Business requirement
- Act independently to determine Key objective by using define Authorization Matrix & Guideline.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor/Diplomas degree in Engineering/
- Certificate course in Materials Mngt
- 10 years of Procurement experience
- Proven working experience as a Strategic Procurement manager at a managerial Level.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Understanding of market dynamicsand sound business judgement
- Good understanding Process improvement
- Good understanding of contract management Legal & taxation
- Detail & working knowledge of SAP MM Module.
- Negotiation skills.
- Understanding of e-business / e-procurement systems.
- Business ethics.
- Ability to communicate effectively through presentations email one-on-one and team discussion
- Ability as a natural facilitator to enable team-based decisions
- Time management
- Agile Troubleshooting problem solving.
