Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager (Commercial). Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Lead and manage a discrete platform integration and rollout project supporting Army Capability Manager and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic project and commercial advice to scope plan test and integrate engineering designs for future capability enhancements.
- Coordinate procurement activities in line with Defence Procurement Manual and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support teams to ensure documentation and requirements meet standards and timeframes.
- Represent the team in stakeholder engagements and contribute to planning for future capability work take-on.
What Youll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in Defence project management particularly in the Land C4 environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement methodologies contracting options and commercial risk management.
- Ability to provide specialist advice across the capability lifecycle including planning monitoring and controlling.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with Defence Prime contractors and applying ASDEFCON templates and DPPM guidance.
- You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
