The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for a variety of duties related to the Patient Experience Volunteer Services Program for the Baton Rouge Market including but not limited to volunteer recruitment screening placement orientation training evaluation recognition scheduling and tracking of hours for Patient Experience Volunteer Programs. This oversight does not include observers research externs or pastoral care volunteers. This role provides guidance support resources and tools to supervised volunteers. Relies on education experience professional training and judgment to accomplish responsibilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
1. Develop promote and manage Patient Experience Volunteers in the BR Market
and ongoing organizational needs assessment for volunteer services opportunities.
and maintain Volunteer Program policies procedures and service standards.
volunteer descriptions for all volunteer assignments.
adequate staffing of volunteers in identified areas to support organizational operations.
the most efficient use of volunteers appropriate volunteer/staff mix and future work force needs.
accurate records and provides timely statistical and activity reports on volunteers.
all aspects of Volunteer Services Program to ensure effectiveness and to recommend/implement changes as appropriate.
and timely escalation of issues and barriers that affect the management of the Volunteer Program to the Director Patient Experience for the BR Market
2. Recruit orient place and train qualified volunteers for the organization.
and maintain an effective recruitment plan including but not limited to hosting and attending recruiting events developing community relationships and working with professional associations to attract qualified candidates into the Volunteer Program.

all Patient Experience Volunteer assignment opportunities and schedules.
3. Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers.

Minimum Years of Experience:3 years of management
Minimum Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
