Title:Success Coach
Reports to:Building Principal

Job Purpose:
The Success Coach will provide personalized academic career and social-emotional support to students promoting their overall development and success. Through individualized coaching mentoring and advocacy the Success Coach will work collaboratively with students families teachers and staff to help students meet their academic career and personal goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Strong background in instructional strategies academic support and student development.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students families and staff.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Academic Support
- Assist students in understanding course materials and academic expectations.
- Support the development of study skills time management and organizational habits.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify students needing additional academic support and create individualized action plans.
Personal Development
- Promote students social-emotional well-being by helping them develop resilience self-esteem and stress management skills.
- Support students in making positive life choices and navigating personal challenges.
Advocacy and Communication
- Serve as a liaison among students parents teachers counselors and administrators to ensure students needs are met.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and interventions.
- Connect students and families with school and community resources when needed.
Goal Setting and Motivation
- Assist students in setting realistic academic career and personal goals.
- Monitor and track student progress toward goals and provide encouragement and accountability
Mentoring
- Provide individualized or small group support as needed.
- Offer mentoring services to promote student growth leadership and decision-making skills.
Impact Expectations:
- Improved academic performance among coached students.
- Increased student engagement school attendance and retention.
- Enhanced student development of academic career and life skills.
Terms of Employment:
187 days (based on the Vicksburg Warren School District academic calendar)
