The Ohio Attorney Generals Office is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for an opening in the Taxation Unit of the Charitable Law Section. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of practice experience as well as excellent oral written and client communication skills.Attorneys in the Taxation Unit represent the Tax Commissioner of Ohio in evidentiary hearings conducted by the Board of Tax Appeals and in direct appeals taken from that tribunal to the Ohio Supreme Court and courts of appeal throughout Ohio. The successful candidate will have developed legal writing and trial advocacy skills and experience or interest in appellate advocacy.Previous tax experience is not required.This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E. Broad St Columbus Ohio.

The office consists of nearly 30 distinct sections that advocate for consumers and victims of crime assist the criminal justice community provide legal counsel for state offices and agencies and enforce certain state laws.
