Job Description:

Program Design Development and Facilitation
Develop tailored support initiatives to address the unique academic personal and
financial needs of Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars enhancing their overall college experience.
Design and implement workshops resources and other offerings to empower scholars with the skills they need to successfully navigate their journey at UF.
Design develop and oversee resources programs and engagement events for Machen Florida
Opportunity Scholars to maintain and improve retention and student success outcomes.
Collaborates with campus partners to coordinate career integration experiences
mentorship programs and experiential learning opportunities to foster professional
growth and readiness among scholars

Student Engagement and Support
Provide holistic assess based support through regular check-ins case management referrals and advocacy efforts
for scholars navigating academic and campus challenges.
Coordinate outreach to scholars who are at a high risk for academic probation and/or
loss of scholarship.
Contribute to coordinated support model by sharing relevant information with campus
partners and referring students to university resources when necessary.

Program Evaluation and Assessment
Develop and implement data tracking and assessment tools to measure the academic progress and
personal growth of Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars.
Collaborate with university stakeholders to analyze data and provide recommendations
for enhancing support programs.
Develop and coordinate satisfaction and learning surveys to gather feedback from
scholars on their experiences and use findings to inform program enhancements.
Track student interaction using Suitable and the Gator 360 system and outreach to
scholars who have not been in regular communication with the MFOS team. Uses data to support decision making and program activities.
Maintain accurate records of scholar achievements and challenges to support data-driven decision-making and program evaluation.

Academic Support & Campus Engagement
Foster partnerships between faculty and community organizations to create curricula
that resonate with the backgrounds of students promoting and scaling engagement in
the learning process.
Develop specialized initiatives that cater to the unique needs of first-generation
limited-income students ensuring they receive targeted academic advising mentorship and career counseling.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to create a coordinated services support model.
Integrate strategies to enhance access to resources opportunities and support before during and post-graduation.
Develop and deliver presentations workshops and seminars to engage the university community in supporting and graduating first-generation limited-income students.

Administrative Functions
Continuously assess and improve programmatic content to meet the evolving needs of students and the community. Including but not limited to evaluating effectiveness and achievement of learning outcomes and instituting changes or adjustments as needed.
Ensure regular data tracking and storytelling of the program across the University.
Monitors current practices trends and processes to ensure continued relevance and
effectiveness.
Identify interdisciplinary impact opportunities and networks with other leaders in the
field and across the UF enterprise.
Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$50000

Required Qualifications:

Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred:

Masters degree in education student affairs higher education social work counseling or related field

Knowledge
Understanding of university state and federal regulations
Knowledge of theoretical foundation in the principles and practices of first-generation
student experience before during and after college is preferred skills.
Demonstrated implementation of strategy and long-term planning.
Demonstrated proactive collaborative timely effective and compassionate work style.
The successful candidate will work well with a team campus and external partners as
well as autonomously.
Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal)
