Are you a skilled maintenance professional with a knack for keeping things running smoothly Were looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance/Facilities Mechanic to join our team!
Teknion Custom Solutions is a wood office furniture manufacturer with a 200000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Calgary. As our Maintenance/Facilities Technician youll play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing plant and equipment are safe functional and well-maintained to maximize operational uptime and output.
What Youll Do:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment including electrical mechanical pneumatic HVAC plumbing and lighting.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions by repairing or replacing defective parts or components.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems such as cleaning lubricating and other routine maintenance work.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
What Were Looking For:
- Experience as a Facility or Equipment Maintenance Technician or similar.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of hand and power tools and man lifts.
- Understanding of basic electrical hydraulic and other systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team of four maintenance personnel.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Understand health and safety requirements and work within Provincial Federal and Corporate policies procedures and guidelines.
- Computer skills (PM programs email excel and Google Suite)
