Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Mix prepare and apply chemical solutions (e.g. insecticides herbicides fungicides) in order to control pests weeds or plant disease using a sprayer or spreader. Apply fertilizer and pesticides to turf and non-turf areas. Keep records of fertilizer and pesticide applications by recording written information or entering into appropriate software (e.g. Excel Trimms). Operate tractors trucks or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies. Wash clean and re-fuel all equipment after use. Maintain turf areas (e.g. putting greens) using appropriate equipment. Mow grass using a riding or walk-behind mower. Maintain lawns by mowing edging raking leaves and performing other lawn maintenance functions as needed. Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report defective equipment accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely. Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g. small print). Visually inspect tools equipment or machines (e.g. to identify defects). Stand sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move over sloping uneven or slippery surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Technical Trade or Vocational School Degree.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: Pesticide Applicators License
The pay range for this position is $24.00 to $24.00 per hour and offers health care benefits flexible spending accounts 401(k) plan earned paid time off and/or sick leave life insurance disability coverage and other life and work wellness benefits. Benefits may be subject to generally applicable eligibility waiting period contribution and other requirements and conditions.
