Job Title: Network Security Manager
Department: Infrastructure Operations
Reports To: Director Infrastructure & Cloud Services
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Network Security Manager to lead the design implementation and governance of secure resilient and scalable network infrastructures across our global private cloud environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the confidentiality integrity and availability of our global infrastructure while enabling business agility and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the global network security strategy for private/public cloud environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure DevOps product and security teams to align network architecture with business and compliance objectives.
- Drive initiatives around Zero Trust network segmentation and secure multi-tenancy.
Architecture & Operations
- Design and maintain highly available fault-tolerant network topologies across data centers and cloud regions.
- Lead implementation of Palo Alto firewalls and security services including Panorama GlobalProtect and Threat Prevention.
- Apply best practices in network segmentation to isolate workloads enforce least privilege and reduce lateral movement risk.
- Oversee deployment of VPNs load balancers and SDN technologies.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage IAM PAM and encryption protocols across network layers.
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001 SOC 2 CMMC and internal security policies.
- Partner with GRC and legal teams to support audits and risk assessments.
Team & Vendor Management
- Lead a global team of network security engineers and architects.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware software and managed services.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and security-first thinking.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in network security with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in private cloud networking (OpenStack Neutron SDN VXLAN BGP etc.).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies and security platforms.
- Strong knowledge of network segmentation strategies and Zero Trust architecture.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP PCNSE CCNP Security) are a plus.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare finance government).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced globally distributed environment.
