Deputy Attorneys General with critical support from criminal special investigators victim service specialists paraprofessionals and administrative staff prosecute criminal cases enforce consumer laws provide counsel to state agencies ensure the publics access to open government protect the abused and much more.
The Delaware Department of Justice is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as Chief Investigator/State Detective leading the Extraditions Unit within the Administrative Division in New Castle County. This position is responsible for overseeing all extradition functions of the Department.

This integral position supervises five (5) State Detectives and one(1) Administrative position handles all theassignments of extraditions personnel administration; the coordination oftravel in addition to the responsibility of processing documentation requiredfor the Chief State Detective answers questionsdaily and is required to handle any problems associated between StateDetectives and fugitives or Chief State Detective isresponsible for monitoring the progress of extraditions conducted by the StateDetectives via reports involving supervisor willmaintain professional liaisons and strong lines of communications not only withthe executive management of the Delaware Department of Justice but also withall federal and state regulatory administrative legal agencies and policeagencies U.S. Marshalls and Sherriffs offices involved in include managing the condition of automobilesto ensure they are in excellent operating order and keeping current withnecessary equipment needed by the State Detectives such as tasers bullet proofvests supervisor monitors the daily activities andschedules for the State Detectives in addition to securing all necessarywarrants indictments and information throughout Delaware to enforce supervisor keeps track of all state laws astowhat needs to be furnished in all states as each state is different.
