General Summary
The School of Communication Media & Theatre Arts invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position in the undergraduate and graduate program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Meeting with students during class time (Fridays from 9am-3pm) and outside of assigned class times as required
Casting and staging the tour with a group of student performers designers and technicians
Facilitate tour dates by travelling with students assisting in setting up running and striking performances
Travel with students to multiple tour dates each semester. Serving as both chaperone and at time driver for students
Assessing student work and performance.
Preparing syllabi and course materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
The desired candidate will have at minimum a Masters degree in Drama / Theatre for the Young Theatre Arts or a related field. The candidate is required to have a valid US Drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications:
An MFA in Applied Drama / Theatre for the Young and experience teaching at the college level.
