1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
Assist with the academic and social development of pupils with additional needs
Help deliver the curriculum effectively under the guidance of the class teacher
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement
Build strong relationships with parents and external professionals
Track and report on pupil progress and attainment regularly
Requirements for this 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role:
A 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK university
Previous experience supporting SEN pupils ideally within a primary school
Confidence managing behaviour and supporting SEND
A proactive flexible and creative approach to support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A desire to pursue a career in education or teacher training
