Job Description

Vita Inclinata is looking for an experienced Master Production Scheduler to create manage and continuously improve the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for Vitas VRS and VLN production lines to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and inventory. The MPS is a detailed plan that outlines what products will be produced how much and when. The MPS needs to be realistic and achievable considering factors like customer demand production capacity and inventory levels.


In this role you will also be responsible for building out the manufacturing scheduling elements within Vitas ERP (NetSuite) to include proper configuration of Work Orders WIP Manufacturing Routings and associated reports and KPIs.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Create and Maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) detailing what products will be produced how much and when.
  • Ensure the MPS needs is current accurate realistic and achievable considering factors like customer demand production capacity and inventory levels.
  • Lead the daily Production Schedule review act as a central point of communication for production-related information to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned and work closely with various departments including sales marketing operations and supply chain to gather information understand requirements and ensure alignment on production plans.
  • Participate in demand forecasting and capacity planning by analyzing sales forecasts and production capacity to create an achievable schedule and meet production targets.
  • Partner with Production Control to ensure the MPS considers inventory levels of raw materials work-in-progress and finished goods to minimize inventory costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand.
  • Monitor and track production progress against the schedule identify potential issues and make necessary adjustments to keep production on track
  • Ensure the MPS is managed to ensure products are delivered to customers on time and according to their requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate the scheduling process identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide regular reports on production status performance metrics and any issues that may arise.
  • Partner with Production Control and Production Leadership to ensure the efficient allocation of resources (labor equipment materials) to optimize production flow and minimize bottlenecks.
  • Identify potential risks that could impact production such as material shortages or equipment downtime and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Business Systems Analyst to implement and optimize ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) for production planning and scheduling and Work Order execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field like production management industrial engineering supply chain management or a related area is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain production planning and scheduling or a related area in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and production processes quality control 5S and safety standards is essential.
  • Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is crucial. NetSuite Supply Chain and Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience calculating production lead times based on manufacturing routings operational steps resources required run rates machine and labor capacity.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills are needed to meet deadlines prioritize tasks and develop and adjust schedules promptly.
  • Be able to prioritize production work orders and related tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and forecast future needs.
  • Troubleshoot and drive root cause analysis to quickly identify and resolve issues that impact production schedules such as supply chain disruptions or equipment malfunctions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills which are vital for conveying instructions providing feedback and collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail is crucial for maintaining quality standards and ensuring that production processes run smoothly.
  • Have a Continuous Improvement mindset focused on identifying and implementing improvements to production processes and on-time delivery.

Computer Skills

  • Demonstrated experienced working with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform to manage production operations.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel (including pivot tables VLOOKUPs etc.) are essential.

Compensation

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the compensation for this role is $75000 - $90000 per year; however Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience education/training and key skills.
