Job Description
McMurry University is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support campus operations by performing routine and preventive maintenance repairs and general facility upkeep across all university buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in carpentry plumbing HVAC electrical and mechanical systems and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe functional and welcoming environment for students faculty staff and visitors.
Physical Demands
This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing during the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
High school graduate or GED . Knowledge of plumbing repairs and installation of plumbing equipment. General knowledge of paint sheetrock repair and carpentry. Experience with hand and power tools. Knowledge of basic safety requirements procedures and techniques. Ability and willingness to learn new skills knowledge and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Trade school graduate.
