Job Description
Are you passionate about shaping public policy and building strong relationships with government and industry stakeholders SEL is seeking a Public Affairs Manager to lead strategic engagement with state policymakers agencies and trade associations. Youll work closely with internal leaders and external partners to promote a fair and open business environment aligned with SELs values.
As a Public Affairs Manager a typical day might include the following:
Meeting with state officials or attending legislative sessions to advocate for SELs policy positions.
Analyzing proposed regulations and laws to assess their impact on SEL operations and recommending strategic responses.
Collaborating with trade associations and industry groups to align on policy initiatives.
Communicating with SEL leadership and employees about current and upcoming government actions that may affect the business.
Participating in team strategy sessions to align public affairs efforts with SELs mission and values.
This job might be for you if:
You have a Bachelors degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience in government relations public affairs or a similar industry.
Youre a strong communicator with excellent writing and speaking skills
You thrive in a collaborative team environment and enjoy building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Youre comfortable traveling up to 30% of the time
Youre proficient in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint and Word and eager to learn new tools and responsibilities.

We anticipate filling this position as a Public Affairs Manager $88000 - $120000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
