Job Description
VHIR offers a vacant for a Laboratory Technician position within the Rheumatology Research Group IMID-Biobank.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- CFGS (Advanced Vocational Training) FP2 Laboratory Technician or equivalent
- Fluency in Catalan Spanish and English (both written and spoken)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience in biobanking and molecular biology
- Experience in tissue processing
- Experience with automated laboratory equipment
- Experience in Quality Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Personal skills:
- Highly organized and adaptable
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to high-quality laboratory work
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Handling processing and storage of biological samples and associated data.
- Maintenance of laboratory paper and electronic records.
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Stock control of consumables and reagents.
- Experimental support to investigators.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 21.000 euros. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
