Project Scope
The Data and Content Management Division supports a one-government approach to information and privacy governance across the Government of Alberta (GoA). The division fosters collaboration improved data access and innovation to enhance service delivery for Albertans.
This role supports the implementation of the GoA Data Strategy by designing and implementing secure scalable and efficient cloud platforms and services. Working with the Data Centre of Excellence the successful candidate will help deliver enterprise-wide data capabilities using modern cloud technologies.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Storage Analyst/Cloud Data Platform Analyst with hands-on expertise in cloud platform development infrastructure automation and ServiceNow integration. The ideal candidate will have experience across multi-cloud environments and be well-versed in Agile and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of Azure Snowflake Databricks ServiceNow Cloudera and Open Government Portal environments.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow modules portals workflows and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs Integration Hub).
- Support development of CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts using Azure DevOps PowerShell Terraform GitHub.
- Administer and optimize cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) and ensure cost efficiency security and compliance.
- Ensure platform performance scalability access control license management and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Contribute to enterprise data governance initiatives and the delivery of data strategy components.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in onboarding new team members.
- Support training troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement activities.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
Experience (Minimum 5 Years Each):
- Azure cloud infrastructure management (deployment monitoring scaling).
- Automation scripting (PowerShell Terraform) CI/CD tools (GitHub).
- ServiceNow customization and development (widgets pages workflows).
- Integration using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Front-end web development (JavaScript HTML CSS Angular).
Nice to Have
- Experience with technical documentation and user training.
- Designing user-friendly ServiceNow service portals.
- Working in complex multi-team IT environments.
- Providing Tier 2 or Tier 3 support in enterprise settings.
