Job Description
Travel Respiratory Therapist/ICU Contract Role
Location: Hanover PA 17331
Shift: 8 HR Nights 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Duration: 12-weeks contract
Weekly Pay: $1680 $1840
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and deliver therapeutic respiratory interventions for critically ill patients
- Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment
- Administer oxygen and aerosolized medications as prescribed
- Perform airway management including suctioning intubation assistance and extubation
- Monitor and document patient responses and adjust therapy as indicated
- Collaborate with ICU staff to develop and implement care plans
- Provide education to patients and families on respiratory treatments
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record
Qualifications:
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1 2 years ICU or critical care respiratory therapy experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management and advanced airway procedures.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Note:
- Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 75 miles.
