Job Description
Job Details:
- Location: Newburyport MA 01950
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2200-$2320
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: Day Shift (8)-8:00 start
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing across blood bank chemistry and hematology departments
- Follow established procedures for specimen handling processing testing and reporting
- Ensure quality control and instrument calibration
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as required
- Accurately document and report test results
- Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Rotate on-call weekends and holidays according to departmental needs
- Adhere to all safety infection control and compliance guidelines
Qualifications:
- Completion of an MT or MLT program (Associates degree or higher required).
- MT MLT or BS in Medical Technology or related field.
- ASCP certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Competency in blood bank chemistry and hematology testing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
