Job Description
Travel RN/Med Surg Contract Role
Location: Altoona PA 16601
Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Duration: 12-weeks contract
Weekly Pay: $1728 $1908
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe compassionate and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing standards
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform and document patient assessments vital signs and progress
- Provide pre- and post-operative education to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures treatment plans and self-care
- Collaborate with physicians case managers and other health care providers
- Monitor record and report symptoms or changes in patients conditions
- Maintain accurate detailed reports and patient records
Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience (required)
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
- License: Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania (or compact license eligible)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)-American Heart Association (required)
- Excellent communication assessment and critical thinking skills

- Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 75 miles.
