Radiology/Interventional Radiology Permanent Role Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
Shift: 8 HR Days 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Prepare patients for exams or procedures and assist the technologist nurse or physician as needed.
- Maintain patient and staff confidentiality at all times.
- Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxiety explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Verify patient identification using two forms of ID according to hospital policy (AIDET standards).
- Operate and maintain equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and serviceable work environment to promote high-quality patient care.
- Keep an adequate inventory of supplies and place general and special orders in a timely manner.
- Thoroughly clean rooms between patients and request terminal cleaning as needed for infection control.
- Consistently wear personal monitoring devices on the collar outside of lead aprons and promptly submit them for occupational dose assessment; report any issues to the Radiation Safety Office.
- Monitor patients recognize changes in their condition and seek appropriate help when necessary.
- Verify requisitions and charts for valid orders priority dates comments physician notes and consents including time-outs for invasive procedures.
- Ensure records are completed with patient identification data and proper labeling.
- Screen individuals before entering the department in accordance with policy.

Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required (new grads welcome)
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)
