Radiology/CT Scan Permanent Role Location: Cedar Park TX 78613
Shift: Variable 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 10 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Perform high-quality multimodality procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to exam protocols.
- Utilize AIDET communication to identify patient service needs verify correct exams and build rapport.
- Explain procedures to patients and families addressing concerns and assessing patient tolerance for exams.
- Prepare patients and exam areas including positioning immobilization and equipment adjustments.
- Maintain safety standards infection control and radiation safety protocols including proper sterile techniques during invasive procedures.
- Maintain equipment and work areas for quality cleanliness and readiness; report issues to management.
- Screen all individuals entering the department per approved protocols to ensure safety.
- Maintain and verify documentation (e.g. requisitions patient history consent forms shielding precautions).
- Maintain imaging records in a timely and compliant manner for interpretation.
- Monitor supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and physicists to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.

Qualifications: Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
Experience:
- Less than 1 year of experience required (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Certifications/Licensure:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the State of Texas (unless MRI/Ultrasound only role)
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in two imaging modalities with at least 50% of work in the second modality. Approved certifications include:
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
- ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine)
- ARRT-M (Mammography)
- ARRT-S (Sonography)
- ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiology)
- Other ARRT or RDMS modalities listed in policy
