Job Description
Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for neuro PCU patients
- Monitor assess and document patients status and responses to treatment
- Recognize neurological changes and escalate appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Administer medications therapies and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and their families about diagnosis treatment and ongoing care needs
- Respond effectively in emergency or critical situations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and professional practice standards
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN required; BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license by the Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum of 12 18 months of RN experience preferred
- Acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Ability to function competently and effectively under pressure and in emergency situations
- Specialized experience in neuro or PCU/step-down nursing
