RN Emergency Department Permanent Role Location: Waxahachie TX 75165
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans; adjust interventions as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Provide education to patients families nursing staff and community members promoting informed healthcare choices.
- Assess and document patient and family learning needs regularly modifying education plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the broader care team to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure safe and effective completion.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to address patient family and staff concerns.
- Prioritize patient safety effectiveness and efficiency in all aspects of care delivery.
- Actively contribute to teamwork and professional development supporting the growth of peers.
- Demonstrate a commitment to community service and uphold nursing ethics and patient privacy standards.
Key Success Factors: - Strong knowledge of nursing principles standards of patient care and relevant procedures.
- Understanding of federal and state nursing laws rules and guidelines.
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in medical terminology disease prevention management common medications and their side effects.
- Adherence to professional nursing ethics and respect for patient privacy rights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office electronic medical documentation scheduling and secure email.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
- BLS certification required (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
