RN Med Surg Permanent Role Location: Waco TX 76712
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Conduct thorough nursing assessments and prioritize care needs.
- Develop implement and evaluate care plans adjusting as needed to meet desired outcomes.
- Foster therapeutic and professional relationships with patients and families demonstrating empathy and respect.
- Educate patients families staff and the community to empower them in making informed healthcare decisions.
- Continuously assess and document patient and family learning needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to coordinate care plans.
- Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and monitor follow-up.
- Apply effective problem-solving skills when working with patients families and colleagues.
- Maintain safety effectiveness and efficiency in care planning and delivery.
- Support a culture of teamwork shared knowledge and professional growth.
- Contribute to peers development and show commitment to community service.
Key Success Factors: - In-depth understanding of nursing standards patient care best practices and hospital procedures.
- Familiarity with nursing laws standards and regulations applicable in Texas.
- Proficient medical knowledge including disease prevention management common medications and side effects.
- Commitment to nursing ethics patient rights and privacy laws.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Positive interpersonal skills able to engage with diverse individuals and groups.
- Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office electronic medical records scheduling and secure email.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license (Texas state).
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
