Job Description

RN Med Surg Permanent Role

Location: Waco TX 76712
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and prioritize care needs.
  • Develop implement and evaluate care plans adjusting as needed to meet desired outcomes.
  • Foster therapeutic and professional relationships with patients and families demonstrating empathy and respect.
  • Educate patients families staff and the community to empower them in making informed healthcare decisions.
  • Continuously assess and document patient and family learning needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to coordinate care plans.
  • Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and monitor follow-up.
  • Apply effective problem-solving skills when working with patients families and colleagues.
  • Maintain safety effectiveness and efficiency in care planning and delivery.
  • Support a culture of teamwork shared knowledge and professional growth.
  • Contribute to peers development and show commitment to community service.
Key Success Factors:
  • In-depth understanding of nursing standards patient care best practices and hospital procedures.
  • Familiarity with nursing laws standards and regulations applicable in Texas.
  • Proficient medical knowledge including disease prevention management common medications and side effects.
  • Commitment to nursing ethics patient rights and privacy laws.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Positive interpersonal skills able to engage with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Solid critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office electronic medical records scheduling and secure email.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license (Texas state).
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
