About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a 13-week contract. This role requires strong clinical judgment rapid decision-making and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in triage emergency interventions and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities: - Assess monitor and collect patient history and symptoms coordinating with providers to develop patient care plans
- Organize and prioritize patient care in the emergency department following protocols and treatment guidelines
- Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and clinical knowledge
- Perform and assist with emergency interventions procedures and stabilization techniques
- Maintain and perform daily checks on emergency equipment including monitors crash carts and oxygen cylinders
- Ensure compliance with Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) standards and facility policies
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Collaborate with EMS medical staff and fellow nurses to ensure timely and effective patient care
Qualifications: - Active RN License in CA (Required)
- BLS ACLS and PALS Certifications (Required)
- TNCC Certification (Preferred)
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (Required)
- Strong ability to work under pressure assess rapidly changing conditions and perform life-saving interventions
- Experience using EPIC or other EMR systems (Preferred)
