Job Description
Physician Assistant-Urgent Care Permanent Role
Location: Austin TX 78735
Shift: Full-time days
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform comprehensive or problem-focused exams and obtain medical histories
- Order collect interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Prescribe or recommend medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans
- Counsel patients and families on health conditions treatments and wellness
- Maintain detailed and timely medical records
- Provide consultation services within area of specialty
- Perform procedures as delegated by the supervising physician
- Participate in departmental coverage as needed
- Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries
- Understanding of drug therapies side effects and preventive measures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Competency with computer and electronic health record systems
- Ability to develop and evaluate outcomes-based treatment plans
- Counseling skills for patients and families
- Ability to interpret diagnostic and lab results
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Texas
- NCCPA certification (current)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Less than 1 year of experience required (new grads welcome)
