Job Description
Permanent Physician Assistant-Surgery
Location: Plano TX 75093
Shift: Full-time days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform chart reviews and comprehensive patient assessments
- Independently and collaboratively round on cardiovascular surgery patients
- Place orders and develop complete patient care plans
- Conduct pre-operative consultations and post-operative discharge planning
- Manage pre- and post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients ensuring safe effective and timely care
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with surgeons nursing staff and allied health professionals
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding cardiovascular surgery and recovery expectations
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required (new graduates welcome)
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current license as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer)
