AutoCAD Drafting Technician & Project Documentation Lead - Marine Systems ($25 to $35 per hour)
Join a stable Canadian-owned company providing marine control and monitoring systems. Our client in Burnaby is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafting Technician to join their team.
About the Role:
Youll create system connection and equipment layout drawings manage project bills of materials and contribute to electrical mechanical and pneumatic system drafting. This role also includes technical document control and potential advancement to systems design or project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical systems drafting (vessel propulsion instrumentation alarm systems).
- Equipment and connection plate layout drawings.
- Bill of materials creation and upkeep.
- Mechanical and pneumatic systems drafting.
- Technical document control and quality assurance.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2023 and Office 365 (Word Excel Access Outlook).
- 5 years of technical drawing experience in controls/automation.
- Strong electrical knowledge (ability to read circuit drawings).
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong adherence to deadlines.
- Marine systems knowledge (asset).
- Experience with GibbsCam and SolidWorks (asset).
- Manual drafting skills (asset).
