Job Description

Overview
The PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) Chemistry plays a crucial role in shaping the scientific knowledge and critical thinking skills of students at the high school level. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and interactive activities to enhance student understanding of chemistry concepts.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments tests and laboratory reports.
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to students who need extra help.
  • Manage classroom behavior and establish a positive learning environment.
  • Incorporate relevant technology and multimedia resources into lesson delivery.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance and performance.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching strategies and scientific advancements.
  • Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding academic expectations and progress.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the overall school community.
  • Prepare students for examinations and assist in their academic and career advising.
  • Research and implement best practices in science education to enhance student learning outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Master s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Bachelor s degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Teaching certification or qualification as per local regulations.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in a secondary education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts principles and laboratory practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Proficiency in using educational technologies and tools.
  • Ability to effectively engage students in scientific inquiry and experimentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in education and subject matter.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues students and the school community.
