Job Description

Overview
The TGT English teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of students in middle and high school. They are responsible for teaching English language and literature fostering a love for reading and writing and cultivating critical thinking and analytical skills among students. The TGT English teacher creates lesson plans that engage students actively employs diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and assesses students progress through various evaluation techniques. Additionally they are integral to maintaining a positive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and fosters intellectual curiosity. With a passion for literature and language the TGT English teacher inspires students not only to enhance their vocabulary and comprehension skills but also to develop a lifelong appreciation for the English language. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare students for standardized testing as required by the school or district.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in English education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification for TGT English in accordance with state regulations.
  • Proven teaching experience preferably in an upper primary or secondary school.
  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature curriculum.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques.
  • Knowledge of various assessment methods and tools.
  • Competence in using educational technology and software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and improvement.
  • Empathy and understanding towards students individual needs.
