Job Description
- Safely operate trucks as per the daily route schedule.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle documenting and reporting any necessary repairs to maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and clients to ensure timely pickups and deliveries adjusting routes as needed for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Maneuver and position the roll-off truck precisely to drop off or pick up dumpsters in various environments including construction sites residential areas and commercial premises.
- Secure loads using chains straps or covers to prevent spillage or debris loss during transportation adhering to all safety and environmental policies.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of equipment including the roll-off containers and truck to ensure they are clean and in good working order.
- Complete and submit accurate logs and reports related to miles driven landfill charges and customer billing information.
- Handle emergency situations or unexpected delays such as road closures or accidents by communicating effectively with team members and implementing contingency plans.
Requirements
At least TWO years of driving experience is REQUIRED!- Class A or B CDL required
- Refuse or recycling industry experience preferred but not required.
- Valid DOT Medical Card required
- Must be able to pass a drug background and MVR screening.
HS Diploma or Relevant 2 years driving experience REQUIRED
Education
High school diploma or GED
