We have opportunities for a part-time Activity Assistant working three days per week. No early mornings or late nights. Earn at least $17/hour (more with experience) and participate in our part-time benefits including paid time off the employee assistance program scholarship program and much more.
We have two available positions: one for assisted living and another for skilled nursing.
Assisted Living
Days: Monday Wednesday Friday every other Saturday
Skilled Nursing
Days: Tuesdays Thursdays every other Saturday
Your work will include:
-Aiding residents in small or large-group activities
-Promoting resident interest in recreational activities such as arts/crafts music exercise pet therapy spiritual programs and resident socials
-Gearing activities to resident interest and capacity
-Providing 1-1 visits with residents who prefer a personal room setting
-Assisting in documentation of activities and patient participation
-Contributing to resident care planning
-Maintaining activity equipment and supplies
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-Commitment to providing care companionship and excellent communication in a care setting
-High school diploma or GED
-Ability to read write and speak English
-Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
-Mobility that allows for supporting our residents by pushing wheelchairs bending stooping and/or kneeling
