Salary Range: $69900 - $106600 annually (Determined by function education experience and qualifications of the applicant.)

Project Overview:
Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities salmon and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.
Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation 300 days of sun a year more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.
Job Summary:
In this role you will be a Control Systems Engineer who will participate in the design development and evaluation of control systems components and processes. You will collaborate and support other engineering disciplines for control systems matters. Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard control systems engineering techniques will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team.
Part-Time Telework:
This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility in the Richland Washington project office. Upon initial hire and onboarding the position will require full time presence in the Richland Washington project office then may offer part-time telework flexibility which requires at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor in consultation with functional or project leadership. This position works a 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday off.

Major Responsibilities:
Participates in the design developmentmodification and evaluation of Control Systems componentsand processes.
Compiles adjusts and correlates data that willdevelop professional work knowledge andabilities through the application of standardControl Systems engineering techniques proceduresand criteria utilizing relevant EngineeringDepartment Procedures (EDPs) designstandards and guides and Bechtel StandardApplication Programs (BSAPs).
Provides input to and/or maintains technicallogs and records.
Coordinates work and collaborates with otherengineering disciplines.
Provides direct support to other engineeringdisciplines for Control Systems related matters.
Coordinates development and presentation ofmaterial when requested.
Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies designsreports or proposals. Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience Requirements:
Requires a University Hire with an engineering degree with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen physical (if located at the construction site) and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
Familiar with process control system software development.
Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities along with effective presentation skills.
Knowledge of Control Systems Engineering work processes procedures specifications.
